Hey Arnold! I believe you, someone has to look on the bright side of things. Negativity does us harm and often destroys the very essence of why we ought to feel pain. Pain, I believe is there for a purpose; to make us stronger, to help us grow and mature. It’s there to build our character and establish our dependence to the very person we should run to for always. His name? JESUS.
DON’T LET YOUR DREAMS TURN TO DUST. I have dreamed about what I’m doing since I first held my dad’s Super 8mm camera when I was in 3rd grade and produced my first stop motion animation. It has taken most of my life to get where I am today, a lot of detours, a lot of roadblocks and many distractions along the way.
I never gave up despite the impossibilities, improbabilities and discouragements from others. At 22 years old I was given my first break and now at 43 I’m living my dreams and it only has begun. I have learned to enjoy the journey, taking the good with the bad; that’s what makes it even sweeter when you reach your destination. Before I achieved my dream, I helped many others along the way with helping them reach their dreams and watch many of them reach their dreams before me. That too is apart of the process.
Obtaining your dreams is not a linear journey but it does require you to take the first step. Your first opportunity maybe small and not what you had dreamed about, do not be discouraged, learn as much as you can and do everything the best that you can. I leave you with this scripture verse that helped me along the way, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin” - Zechariah 4:10

This post jolted me. I am close to giving up and abandoning my dreams but this gave me the right motivation to keep my hopes high. Focus. I have to be faithful where I was put. I want to be genuinely excellent this time.
I have to woman up and be mature to face the hurdles. I know God will give me the grace to face the coming adversities head on.
